I cook from the storecupboard more often than from the shops, and it’s handy to have a collection of recipes that are available to you at all times. It’s surprising how vigorous and fresh these recipes can be and that is the focus here. As well as dry ingredients, I include long-lasting fridge and freezer friends here, such as feta, lemons, carrots & onions, frozen spinach, and the odd rasher of bacon and chorizo.
